Our Adoption Process
Complete the adoption form!
Please make sure your form is accurate and your contact information is current. While most people begin at this step, you may take the virtual class prior to this if you wish! There is no obligation to adopt from filling out the form.
We will review your form!
We may reach out to you with additional questions. We want to make sure all families are prepared and a bunny is a good match! For families with children, the bunny needs to be a parent or guardian's responsibility. It is important that the entire family is on board with adopting a bunny.
You'll take our bunny virtual class
If you haven't already, please take our free 30-minute bunny care virtual class. This helps with supply recommendations, general questions and knowledge, and even if you've had bunnies before, you're guaranteed to learn something new!

A meeting is arranged!
We will arrange a meeting! We want to make sure there are no surprises and that the bunny or bunnies are a good match, and what you expected. We find that sometimes meeting multiple bunnies is needed and the best course of action to ensure that the right match is found!
You'll prepare your indoor bunny space.
Please be sure to reference our recommended supplies sheet. Many items marketed towards pet rabbit owners are actually harmful (such as seeded food and treats). Feel free to ask us any questions! Your space should be indoors, involve the use of an exercise pen when the bunny is not free roaming with supervision, and electrical cords should be protected. Please do not house a bunny in a bedroom where someone will be sleeping (as bunnies are guaranteed to wake them during the night!).
Adoption date is set!
After the meeting, we will do a home delivery to make sure the bunny is comfortable and to answer any remaining questions! Many of our adopters have really enjoyed this extra help, and we love making sure the bunny and family are both happy and comfortable!
We will add you to our support circle!
We support our bunnies FOR LIFE through care advice, and community, and this includes help in emergency circumstances where a vet is not available. We have an ongoing support circle for our adopters (and foster-to-adopt families) and love seeing updates and questions! We would love to have you be a part of our community!
